In this Broadway jazz class, students blend fundamental jazz technique with storytelling by engaging in expressive, dynamic, dramatic, high-energy, and exaggerated movement choreography. This class emphasizes flexibility, artistry, musicality, coordination, and isolations. Students gain a deeper understanding of this musical theater style of jazz dancing influenced by Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins, and Fred Astaire. Case studies include musicals such as popular shows on Broadway past and present, Chicago, Cabaret, All That Jazz, and West Side Story, and more! Format: This class meets weekly for 50 mins. You will pay a one-time registration fee of $30 online to secure a spot. When you show up for your first class—you'll be placed on a monthly subscription plan you can pause or cancel any time. If you enjoyed your first class, then we’ll see you next week, same time, same place. If you didn’t enjoy your first class, your subscription will be canceled, with full refund.
