Lune Spark’s Counselor-in-Training Program

Calling all Lune Spark alumni ages 13+! 

After four incredible years of watching our students grow as artists, we’re thrilled to launch something we’ve been dreaming about: a Counselor-in-Training program for teens who’ve aged out of our camps but aren’t ready to leave the Lune Spark family behind.

What is Spark Leaders? 

A hands-on training experience where teens step into a mentor role — assisting our talented instructors, supporting our 6–10 year old campers, and helping run the behind-the-scenes magic that makes camp week unforgettable. It’s part leadership development, part creative community, and a meaningful first step toward the workforce.

What You’ll Do 

• Mentor and assist younger campers during projects 

• Help organize art supplies and prep materials 

• Support instructors throughout the camp day 

• Build real-world skills: communication, teamwork, and responsibility 

• Stay connected to the studio you love

The Details 

• Ages: 13+ 

• Cost: $150 per week (all-inclusive — no extra fees!) 

• Locations: Apex, Chapel Hill, Holly Springs 

• Path Forward: Strong Spark Teen Leaders may be invited to join our paid staff once they turn 16.
